Aboutimage attaches great importance to the protection of your personal data and respect for your privacy.

In this Privacy Statement we want to provide clear and transparent information about how we handle your personal data. 
We do everything we can to guarantee your privacy and therefore handle personal data with care. Aboutimage complies in all cases with applicable laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Why do we process personal data

We process your personal data for the following purposes and legal grounds:

  • to be able to participate in photo shoots and events,

  • sending direct marketing to active customers about similar products (legitimate interest), 

  • sending newsletters, thematic mailings and invitations (consent of the person concerned)

  • We also use cookies on our website(s). You can find more information about this in our cookie policy.

 

Provision to third parties

We may provide the data you provide to us to third parties if this is necessary for the purposes described above.

For example, we use a third party for:

  • taking care of the internet environment (web hosting—WIX:https://nl.wix.com);

  • providing IT infrastructure

  • providing (and distributing) newsletters and invitations.
    Here too we work together with WIX (https://nl.wix.com/about/privacy) and Mailchimp (https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy)

  • Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to keep track of how users use the Website and how effective our Adwords ads are on Google search result pages. The information thus obtained, including the address of your computer (IP address), is transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.     Google uses this information to keep track of how our website is used, to provide us with reports about the Website and to provide its advertisers with information about the effectiveness of their campaigns. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally obliged to do so, or insofar as these third parties process the information on Google's behalf. We have no influence on this. We have not allowed Google to use the obtained analytics information for other Google services.

 

Furthermore, we will not provide the information you provide to other parties, unless this is legally required and permitted. An example of this is that the police requests (personal) data from us in the context of an investigation . In such a case we must cooperate and are therefore obliged to provide this information. 

 

We do not provide personal data to parties located outside the EU.

We only process personal data of minors (persons younger than 16 years) if written permission has been given by the parent or legal representative.

Aboutimage does not store personal data for longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was provided, or is required by law. As a general rule, we keep personal data for a maximum of 5 years after the last use.

Security of the data

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unlawful processing, including:

  • All persons who can take note of your data on behalf of Aboutimage are bound by confidentiality daarvan.

  • We make back-ups of the personal data in order to recover it in the event of physical or technical incidents

  • We test and evaluate regularly our measures;

  • Our employees are informed about the importance of protecting personal data.

 

Your rights regarding your data

You also have the right to have the data provided by you transferred by us to you (or on your direct instructions to another party). We may ask you to identify yourself before we can comply with the aforementioned requests.

If you have a complaint about the processing of your personal data, we ask you to contact us. the right to lodge a complaint with de Privacy Commission, this is the supervisory authority in the field of privacy protection.

Aboutimage can change its privacy statement. We will make an announcement of this change on our website. The last change happened on May 10, 2018.
